I think the problem is that the overall method is not clear.
For a potential user reading this thread before deciding whether or not to join, it seems a little contradictory.
This could easily be fixed .
I think the main problems for the potential user are:
1.
"THE ONLY RULE IS YOUR RATIO MUST BE AT LEAST 1.0. IF YOU RATIO IS BELOW 0.7, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE MOVED TO "BAD LEECHERS" GROUP AND YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANYMORE" - This is misplaced and so it is not clear whether these numbers (1.0 & 0.7) apply to a user's total ratio or to the ratio of each film they download.
I think total member ratio is meant because that is where the warning message applies.
But saying "the only rule is" at the top of a bunch of rules is very confusing.
2.
"If nobody downloads from you, you must seed for at least 168 hours (7 days)..." If a member has downloaded 1 torrent, that is 7 days seeding of 1 torrent.
If a member has downloaded 10 torrents, is that 70 days seeding?
It needs to be made clear so a potential user has enough facts to decide if he will join, and preclude his arguing about it later on.
3.
"...then exchange the seeding hours to GB in seeding. For each 100 points, you can exchange to 1G" - There is no information given about whether this bonus applies at the individual torrent level or the all-torrents level
If a member seeds 1 torrent for 24 hours, does he get 24 points?
If a member seeds 10 torrents for 24 hours, does he get 24 points or 240 points?
Again, lack of detail will only confuse the potential user.
It's probably ok for active users who see the system in action and so know the answer.
But potential users have never seen the bonus points system in operation.
4.
"Your total Ratio is the most important measure for your account."There might be less confusion if "
THE ONLY RULE IS YOUR RATIO MUST BE AT LEAST 1.0. IF YOU RATIO IS BELOW 0.7, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE MOVED TO "BAD LEECHERS" GROUP AND YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANYMORE" was moved to the
"3. Total Ratio" paragraph.
Depending on how the above is clarified/codified, there may be a few other issues as well.
Perhaps the problem with the recent mass deletion of members is that the system removed everyone who, at that moment, had a total ratio < 1.0 (including the guy who just finished a new download).
It is a fact that any member who downloads a torrent could always be defective (< 1.0), unless he builds a buffer by uploading his own torrents.
- eg. if you have a total ratio of 1.1 before the download, as soon as you download you fall below 1.0 and it will take you about 1 week of non-stop seeding to pay that 1 download off via seeding bonus (assumes a quality 1.4GB torrent).
But I suspect the system removed such people despite the rules of hit-and-run giving them 30 days to recover their 1.0 for that download.
Anyway, I'd like to see the rules given a rewrite to clarify everything. If only for my own information.
Concise but clear.
I've held off downloading anything so far because:
- info given in descriptions does not tell me what I want to know
- I haven't seen anything I don't have or can't easily get.
But the changing rules are also a factor for me.
